Martin: King of Bafflegab
Stephen Harper has accused Martin of wanting the PQ to win the next Quebec provincial election so "they [Liberals] can stand up for federalism and fight the separatists". In his response, Martin has proven that he has learned a few things about bafflegab from the retired king Jean "a proof is a proof" Chrétien. At the same time Martin inadvertently agrees with Harper on the issue. Let's have a look:
I wonder if Martin even knows what DNA stands for.
"The fact is that fighting the separatists and fighting for national unity is part of my DNA," Mr. Martin told a group of farmers and agricultural business people in Harrow, Ont., near Windsor. In other words, Paul Martin was made by God Himself to fight the separatists in Quebec. That would mean that Martin would like nothing more than for the PQ to come to power in that province so he could exercise his superpowers. It reminds me of Spiderman 2 when Peter Parker decided to leave the spidy pajamas behind. He became very unhappy. It wasn't until Parker realized he was given his powers for a reason that he was filled with purpose and did amazing things. Too bad this isn't the case for Martin. He is just spouting rhetoric in an attempt to wrestle votes to maintain his grip on power.
I wonder if Martin even knows what DNA stands for.
